About this trainer

Alex Morgan is an approved Provocative Change Works trainer and practitioner with a background in coaching, hypnotherapy and brief therapy. Alex first trained in PCW in 2014 and has been using the approach with clients in private practice ever since.

Alex works with people who feel “stuck” in repeating patterns of anxiety, self-doubt or procrastination, using PCW to change how problems are represented in everyday thinking and behaviour. Sessions are conversational, down-to-earth and often surprisingly humorous.

Alex is part of the PCW Association and regularly attends supervision and development events to keep skills sharp and aligned with current PCW standards.

How I work with clients

PCW sessions with Alex are conversational and flexible rather than following a strict script. The focus is on listening closely to how a client describes their problem, then responding in real time using humour, challenge and metaphor.

Issues commonly addressed

  • Performance anxiety and confidence
  • Social anxiety and “over-thinking”
  • Long-standing habits and stuck patterns
  • Reactions to past events that keep showing up in daily life

What to expect in a session

  • A brief conversation about what brings you to the session now
  • Exploring your usual ways of responding to the problem in everyday life
  • Working with voice tempo, stance changes and metaphor to loosen the problem pattern
  • Clear next steps and, where appropriate, a recording to revisit after the session
