CPD for PCW skills development

Continual professional development is the best way to develop and integrate PCW skills. The model is constantly being upgraded and refined, so the learning is an ongoing process. The biggest challenge in teaching the model is to point out that PCW is not just rolling out a series of techniques, but requires the ability to pay attention to everything that is happening in the here and now!

Prior to creating the PCW model I attended numerous trainings and was struck by the lack of CPD. Members of the public could often attend a short course, grab a certificate and then imagine they were “qualified” to work professionally with clients. Skills development in any area of life requires constant practice.

A certain amount of information is useful in any learning, BUT information alone is not going to make for a skilled practitioner. The PCW model was inspired by Frank Farrelly’s classic Provocative Therapy, but is much more multi layered. The forthcoming one year training is by application only and held over a year starting Oct 2026 for those who want to develop skills. The focus is on exploring what happens in real life work and there’s a lot of opportunity for Q and A with myself. I’m also introducing some aspects of PCW 4.0 which is currently only taught in Japan.
